Absence Of Thought

Where I let my brain off its leash and let it do it's business

Video Killed The Radio Star

Hi again guys!

This post is very special for two reasons. Firstly it features a very special theme and secondly it's my 400th post!!!! YAY!! Man I have too much time at my disposal. With the amount of time spent on this site, I could have won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry or something (shut up, it could happen). So today's "Video killed the radio star" segment features my top favourite Kylie Minogue music videos. You knew it was coming! Every gay man has the obligation to have a post dedicated to our goddess and it's time for me to pay my dues. So lets start the list in no particular order.

Chocolate

Off Kylie's ninth studio album, Body Language, Chocolate was a sexy & sultry music video which pays homage to the MGM musicals of the 1950s. In the video, Minogue performs several jazz dance numbers in a studio-theater with back-up dancers. I love the feel and look of the music video and the song was great as well. The ballet section is really cute too.

Did It Again

One of my most favourite video clips from the 90's, this song was Kylie's second single from her sixth studio album, Impossible Princess (and one of her best albums in my opinion). In the video,  Minogue satirised her image, in which four major incarnations of her career, "Indie Kylie", "Dance Kylie", "Sexy Kylie", and "Cute Kylie", battled for supremacy. It's such a clever, cheeky and fun video. Four Kylies having a cat fight. Pure awesomeness!

Love At First Sight

The third single off Kylie's eighth studio album, Fever, "Love at first sight" is one of my most favourite Kylie singles. When it comes on at the clubs, you can't help but want to dance. The video features Kylie dancing in front of the camera while a group of dancers perform various dance moves in the background, very reminiscent of Daft Punk's "Around The World". Once again a very fun video. Kylie still looks sexy even though she's not as glammed up as she is in most of her videos. Sporting just a tank and a pair of cargo pants, she lets loose and just dances to her very catchy song.

Confide In Me

This number one single was from Kylie's fifth album, Kylie Minogue. The song was a huge success (and one of her best songs in my opinion), winning the Aria awards for Best Selling Australian Single, Best Video and Best Selling Australian Dance Track in 1994. The video features Minogue talking on the phone, urging people to call and confide in her. There are six sequences; all of which feature Minogue in front of different backgrounds playfully dancing and posing for the camera. The number "1-555-Confide" is featured at the bottom of the screen during select sequences. As the video concludes, all of the scenes are intercut and gradually fade. Minogue wears six costumes during the course of the video, with each one being accompanied by different hairstyles and makeup. Okay now wikipedia copy and paste is done and out of the way, I'd just like to say this is another fun video, very much like her "Did It Again" music clip. Awesome video to an even awesomer (yes it's a word, look it up in the official Hyper Dingo dictionary) song.

All The Lovers

Fresh off Kylie's soon to be released eleventh album, Aphrodite, "All The Lovers" is catchy and infectious. If the rest of the album is anything like this song, I cannot wait! In the video (and probably Kylie's sexiest one at that), Kylie sings among a flash mob of man on man, woman on woman and man on woman (boring!) lovers as they embrace and kiss everyone in sight. Kylie represents Aphrodite (and probably the most beautiful I've seen her in a music video) as a throng of scatily clad followers grows until she has a mountain of Abercrombie models creating a wave of sexuality and sensuality. Very hot and sexy but classy at the same time. Something only our Kylie can do.

Come Into My World

My most favourite Kylie video ever!! This single was the forth single off Kylie's eighth studio album, Fever. It won the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. The video features Kylie strolling around a city block within the Boulogne-Billancourt suburb of Paris, France. Each time she completes a circuit of the area, a new Kylie emerges from one of the stores (which is in fact the 'old' Minogue, that did the circuit the first time around), and each of the people in the background are also duplicated in slightly different positions. By the time the video concludes there are four unpertubed Minogues amidst an extremely chaotic scene with each background extra also depicted four times. The video ends as a fifth Minogue emerges. I don't really need to say much about this clip. It speaks for itself. Four Kylies walking around. How can you go wrong?!

There are many many more videos that I could have written about but I don't have the time or the attention span to do so. Honorable mentions go to In Your Eyes, Slow, Your Disco Needs You, Please Stay, All I See, Spinning Around, Wow, I Believe In You and every other video she has ever done. There really isn't a Kylie video out there that I dislike.

Hyper Dingo - Can't wait for the release of Aphrodite. Even the album name makes me all moist in my pants.

Someday Someday

So I was watching Cougar Town the other day and a concept came up on the show that made me think. And if you're wondering, yes I do learn all my most valuable life lessons from sitcoms. I learnt which mood enhancers go with which spirits from Karen off Will & Grace. I learnt to never trust Mexicans from Stan off Family Guy. I learnt that the head bones connected to the neck bone from Dr Dorian off Scrubs. And just the other day I learnt that dolphins are just gay sharks off Brittany from Glee. Who needs school?

Anyways back to the topic on hand. In Cougar Town they were talking about your someday guy/girl. That is someone you know who you think, "hmm someday I could see myself with him/her". Sure we've all done the "If you and I are 30 and single, let's get married" scenario with someone before (I have like 5 people which isn't really going to work unless I'm Mormon) but is there actually someone you know that you can see youself being with someday? I might have one. Who knows, it could be you!

Hyper Dingo - My someone guy at the moment is Jake Gyllenhaal. Cause we're totally going to be together.

The Final Countdown

Okay I struggled a bit trying to find a song title that suited today's post. However it should give you some clues. There is a 'countdown' towards the 'final' winner and it is based in 'Europe'. That's right boys and girls, it's the Eurovision Song Contest. So it's been a few years since I last had a post about the song contest (mainly because I missed the previous years) so hopefully this will start becoming an annual thing. So like last time, I'm here to share the good, the bad and the very catchy tunes of this year Eurovision entries. Let's begin shall we?

Hotest entry
This is always my favourite award and this year I'm lucky enough to have two winners. Both Israel and Norway decided to not only front up with some talent but also some 'talent' as well. Okay Norway's entry wasn't that great vocally but man he was hot to boot. Those Norweigian sure know how to breed them.

Norway

Israel

Best costume
Yes there was only one entry that made me go "oooh I want one of those". And no I'm not talking about the Norweigan singer (though I wouldn't mind one of those if someones got a spare one lying around). I'm talking about an outfit that I may try to steal for next Mardi Gras. Me and every other gay man that watched the show. This years award goes to Belarus.

Belarus

Most controversial
This year's award goes to an entry that didn't do anything controversial as such but instead had something controversial happen to them. Spain this year has a "streaker" of sorts (though he was fully clothed thankfully) jump on stage during their number and join the act. Luckily for them, they were allowed to perform their number again at the end, after all the other countries had performed. Unlukily for them, their act sucked regardless of the 'intruder' or not. I actually think the 'intruder' improved the performance.

Spain

Entry that made me want to dance the most

This year danciest entry came from the beautiful country of France. Performing "Allez Ole Ole" this entry was catchy and made me want to shake my bon bon. Kudos to France again for performing a song in their native language as well. This was number 3 on my top 3 list. I think the very sexy back up singer helped as well ;p

France

Best look alike
This year's award goes to Romania. The female vocal is a spitting image of Shania Twain. You know, if she was Romanian. Though they both share a love of wearing very tight leather pants. Fantastic and catchy song though. Number 2 on my list.

Romania

And the winner is.....
Germany!! Woo hoo!! For once my favourite song was actually the winner as well. That never happens! I must admit I am a bit biased and had spent a few weeks in Germany prior to the contest airing, and had heard the song on the radio many many times. However I still love the song, and the performer is just soo cute. This means Germany will host the next Eurovision contest so hopefully I'll be over there to see it first hand for once.

Video Killed The Radio Star

Hey peeps!

It's time for some more video's I've come across in YouTube. You may have noticed that I have changed the name for this segment (originally I was calling it "Watching You" but I think the new title is better suited.

So the theme of this set of videos (I don't always have a theme so don't go back to the past ones cause there wont be a theme there) is parodies. I love myself a good parody. Anyways the first is from the very funny and talented group, College Humour. It's a parody of Kesha's, sorry K$sha's hit song Tik Tok. The parody is called Sing Talk and makes fun of your and her lack of talent. Bitchiness is funny when done in parody =D

Next is another video from College Humour. This one, titled "Actually Ironic" is a parody of Alanis Morrisette's Ironic, but as the name may suggest, is actually ironic. It's a bit wordy and can be hard to understand all the cleverness in it so I've included the lyric underneath the video. Enjoy! (Apologies about the loading time of this one. Couldn't embed from YouTube like the other videos)

ACTUALLY IRONIC
An old man turned ninety-eight, he won the lottery and died the next day…of a shock-induced heart attack
It's a black fly in your Chardonnay…poured to celebrate your apartment fumigation
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late…’cause the governor was busy watching Dead Man Walking
And isn't it ironic...don't you think

It's like rain at a dehydration victim’s funeral
It's a free ride to your bankruptcy trial
It's the good advice to never listen to me
Who would've thought...it figures

Mr. Play It Safe, he was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He’d waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
"Now I’ll never make it to that Fear of Flying seminar”
And isn't it ironic...don't you think

It's like rain flooding an umbrella factory
It's a free ride to an overpriced car dealership
It's the good advice from the guy who just got you fired
Who would've thought...it figures

A traffic jam when you're already late…to receive an award for reducing automobile congestion
A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break… at the R.J. Reynolds tobacco company
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife…to rob a soup kitchen
It's meeting the man of my dreams, and then meeting his beautiful wife…who’s also my relationship therapist
And isn't it ironic...don't you think
A little too ironic...yeah, I really do think...

It's like rain on your wedding day…to the Egyptian sun god Ra
It's a free ride when you've already paid…for a stolen car
It's the good advice someone advised you not to take
Who would've thought...it figures

I have a funny way of defining rhetorical devices that I use in songs
Songs have a funny, funny way of getting things wrong
Getting things wrong

Next two are oldies but a goodies. They're both from MadTv and they're not music video so much as just parodies. The first is an alternate ending to the beloved classic "The Wizard Of Oz".

Next is the best parody of the greatest crack head of our time, Ms Whitney Houston.
I don't really need to talk this one up so just watch!

That's it for now folks!

Day 15, 16 & 17

Hi guys!!

I'm writing you all from Kuala Lumpur airport while I wait for my connecting flight home from my German holiday. It's been a fantastic holiday and was fantastic seeing Toby and the family.

On Saturday we had a really big day planned. First on the agenda was horse riding. I always loved horses. I think they are such majectic animals. I've only ridden a horse once in Vanuatu and my horse there decided to sit on me at the beach in the water. So Toby, his dad and I arrived at the place where we were going to ride the horses and met with a lovely lady who was going to be our trainer. Firstly we had to clean the horse, Monarch, of dirt and old hair so armed with a brush and plastic hair removing device, we scrubbed the horse down for a while. I actually enjoyed this bit cause it got us involved in the preparation required before riding a horse. Once finished we walked the horse to the riding stadium (we were riding inside in a arena of sorts) and Toby jumped on first. The trainer got us to ride around in circles and showed us how to speed up the horse, how to sit, turn the horse and so forth. Afterwards was my turn. To get the horse to go into a trot we had to squeeze the horse tightly with our thighs and sustain the hold or else it'd slow down again. Man I sucked at squeezing. I squeezed and squeezed with all of my might but the horse would only trot for like 5 seconds and then slow down again. Think I need to get one of those thigh master things you see on the infomercials. Once finished we said goodbye and headed home and had about 15 minutes to shower and get the smell of horse off us before heading bowling. We were joined by Toby's mother and brother as well the the mayor of the village Toby lives in and his wife. We played 3 and a half games, none of which I won but at least came second or third for two of the games. Toby won two of the games and his brother the other. Once we headed back home, Toby's mum dared me to jump into the swimming pool with her and Toby's father. It was freezing outside and the water was even colder but I accepted the dare so we changed into our swim gear and jumped into the pool. I only lasted about 30 seconds in there before I was out and in a warm towel. Man it was sooo cold!! We chilled out for the rest of the night until it was time to head out to a nearby club. We went to Magdeburg, a bigger town nearby to a club called Boys and Beats (where Toby used to work). It's been his first time back since he had left for Australia so there were a lot of old friends that were very excited to see him. The club was quite small, music varied from pop to dance to old german songs. It had a very country/small town vibe to it which was cute. People were doing old "village dances" as Toby called it to some old German songs. The management at the club had changed since Toby worked there and the new owner (who used to be the barkeeper there) was very very excited to see Toby. At one point he got Toby to get on the bar with him and pour free tequila down the throat on anyone who wanted it. Was very funny to watch. I didn't get involved however as I hate tequila firstly and secondly didn't trust that Toby would pour the tequila in my mouth. We only stayed shortly as we were a bit tired from our long day and the smoking in the club was making Toby feel unwell. Toby's parents were nice enough to come and pick us up at the end of the night.

The next day, we just chilled and hung out around the house. We were both a bit tired and sore from the previous day and also had a very very early morning the next day as we were driving to Frankfurt for my flight home. We ended getting up at 3:30am that morning and had a breakfast with Toby's mum and dad. We were all going to drive to Frankfurt which was about 3hrs away. I was very appreciative that his parents had offered to drive me as it was very much out of the way. Unfortunately Toby's mum didn't end up going as she wasn't feeling well so Toby and his dad accompanied me there. It was very hard and sad saying goodbye to them as I had grown very close of the family over the last two weeks and wasn't ready to go. We had a tearful goodbye and I headed off to my flight. The flight to Kuala Lumpur was pretty empty so I had a row to myself. Unfortuantely, I was sitting behind the bulkhead area where there was a mother with a baby and baby cried all during the flight. Luckily I was still able to sleep and read half of "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown that I bought from Frankfurt airport. Arrived into KL Airport about 6am and had about a 4hrs stopover. Still have an hour and a half before we board so I guess it's goodbye for now and I'll see you all soon.

Day 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14

Hiya again!

Last Sunday I was still in Berlin and in the morning the boys decided to go to the gym. There was no way I was joining so I decided to do a bit of sightseeing/shopping by myself. So I got on the underground train and made my way to an area called Alexanderplatz. First stop was KFC!! Haha! I decided I couldn't visit Germany without seeing what KFC tasted like here. Verdict: Ours is way better! Afterwards, I headed to this cool clock statue that has the different times of places around the world. Was very pretty. I really enjoyed just strolling around the area by myself, soaking in the sights and just being able to chill and do things at my own pace. I stopped by a beautiful fountain where some people had dressed the statues with brightly coloured sheets. Nearby was the Berlin tower. I didn't go up the top to see the view though. Couldn't be bothered haha. I finally found a souvenier store (most shops do not open Sunday except for restaurants, bars & small businesses) where I purchased a Berlin buddy bear (I'm obsessed with these, I'm so buying more online), a piece of the Berlin Wall (probably fake) and a buddy bear key ring. I headed back to the apartment shortly afterwards to meet up with the boys. We had lunch at a nearby restaurant and I ordered Kangaroo. Thought it'd be funny to eat an Australian dish in Berlin.
That night we had drinks with the boys and two of Mirko's friends, Moritz & Andy. After midnight we headed to a club for some partying. I had a lot of fun there with lots of dancing and drinking. There were 2 dancefloors (pop & house music) on different levels but they were directly on top of each other so you have to get a elevator to get from one to the other. Was kinda funny squishing into a lift with lots of other drunk gay boys. I'm sure in some cultures, it'd be considered an orgy. The pop floor was fantastic with awesome music from the past as well as the present. And the DJ was this glamourous drag queen. I loved it! Once again Toby headed home early and the rest of us partied on till about 4am before stumbling home. Was a very early morning the next day as we had to drive back to Welsleben.
The weather over the next few days haven't been the best so we've just been chilling out at home with the family. Spent a lot of time watching tv (mostly American Dad), playing games & wasting time on YouTube & Facebook. Tomorrow we're going horse riding, bowling and then clubbing! Yay!!

Speak soon guys!! Missing you all lots!!

Day 6, 7 & 8

Guten Tag!
I'm writing you all from beautiful Berlin today. Have been here since yesterday and we'll be staying till Monday. Our plans for Thursday changed as Toby's friend who we were going to go drinking with, had to change plans. Instead we spent it at home with the family and then decided to go for a bike ride to a mini zoo nearby. It was freezing though, so the ride helped keep us warm. Had a pretty quiet night that night.

Friday we headed to Berlin which took about 2 and a half hours by car. First stop was the airport as Toby was picking up the two boxes of his belongings that I'd sent from Melbourne. They arrived a week later than they were supposed to though. After picking that up, we headed to a friend of ours named Mirko, who we were staying with in Berlin. Mirko used to live in Melbourne and it'd been a year since he'd returned home so it was nice to see him. We had a few drink and chatted while we waiting for it to get later so we could head out to a club. I ended up drinking a whole bottle of champagne and then some vodka, cranberry & red bulls before we headed out. We were joined by one o f Mirko's friend, Richi who also joined us for drinks. About 12:30am we headed to a nearby club that was very indie. Supposedly every month they have a gay night and tonight was it, however when we arrived it seemed very very straight. We went in anyway and had a few drinks but as the music was pretty average and the people there were very straight, we decided to head to another club. The next club was much better and we had a good night drinking and dancing some more. Toby went home early so me and Mirko partied till about 6am before heading home. Of course we got Maccas on the way haha.

Saturday morning I was definitely feeling the repercussions of all the drinking I had done the night before. I was sooo hungover. And Saturday was going to be our shopping/sight seeing day. I tried to have breakfast with the boys (and by try I looked at the food and decided I wasn't eating) but then decided to have a short nap. They finally dragged me out of bed and we headed out to a nearby shopping centre. We eneded taking the train there which wasn't a good idea as the motion from the train was making me want to throw up. Half way there we had to get off so that I could get some air and walk around a bit cause I was on the border of vomit town. We finally made it there and did a bit of shopping but I don't think I was in any condition or mood to shop much and I didn't end up getting anything. We did get to see some of the Berlin Wall though, which was really cool cause I didn't get to see it last year when I was here. Have just gotten back from shopping and the boys are watching a soccer game on tv so I think I might have a nap so that I feel better. Have to recover by tomorrow cause we're going out again and I need to be in partying shape. Oh turns out the first club we went to last night was the wrong one. The club we were supposed to go to was next door. Oopps!!

Take care for now guys and speak to you all soon.

Video Killed The Radio Star

Hi bitches.

Time for some more YouTube clips that I'd like to share.

The first is from music group Ok Go. They are quite well known for their cool video clips. You may rememeber their music clip for "Here It Goes Again" where they were on treadmills. Well the new video clip for "This Too Shall Pass" is really cool. You can watch it below =D

The next clip is soo cute. If you've seen the video clip for Taylor Swift's "You Belong To Me", you'll know it's a cute video about two teens who have feelings for each other but one of them is with someone else. Well some cute (and they are pretty cute) guys have made a gay version of the video. Made me go awwwww! Also I've includes Taylor Swift's original video.

The next video is from a very creative YouTuber. She's taken my favourite song from the movie Hedwig & The Angry Inch, "The Origin Of Love" which is based on a speech from Aristophanes from Plato's Symposium and drawn the images from the lyrics on the book. According to the speech, long ago, humans were composed of two people stuck back-to-back, with two faces and eight limbs. Male-male humans came from the Sun, female-female humans from the Earth and male-female humans from the Moon. The gods, out of jealousy, split them in half. Now, throughout our lives, we are always trying to find our "other half", and sexual intercourse is the only means we have to put the two halves back together; this desire to be one person again is what we call "love". However, it is impossible to fully rejoin two people because it is our souls and not our bodies that most desire to be reunited. I think it's really clever. Below is the video and the original from the movie.

The last video is from American So You Think You Can Dance Season 1 runner up, Blake McGrath. That's right. He's making music now. No more dancing for Britney, Madonna, Destiny's Child, Janet Jackson & Pink. I think the song is pretty catchy and also Blake McGrath is HOT! Plus he's bi as well, though if you ever watched the show, he's definitely gay. Anyways enjoy the hotness.

Ciao for now!

Day 3, 4 & 5 - Chilling and Chilling.

Hi guys.

It's been a few days since I arrived into what I hoped would have been warm Germany. But instead I have discovered that it is still quite cold and that I had not prepared myself for it. I only packed 2 jumpers. Last year when we were here at this time, it was nice and warm (high 20s) and I thought this year it'd be the same. We went shopping on Monday at a nearby town but I didn't see anything I liked so hoping that I'll find some nice stuff in Berlin over the weekend.
Have spent the last few days chilling with Toby and his family. Was even convinced to go to the gym. haha

Today we drove 3 hrs from Welsleben, to a concentration camp called Buchenwald concentration camp. It's not as big or famous as Auschwitz concentration camp but it was confronting all the same. I had visited one of the "camps" that Pol Pot held prisoners in Cambodia and the feeling was the same. Sometimes it's hard to believe that humans were capable of something so horrific and cruel but visiting these places help us make sure we never repeat these events again and remind us how lucky we are and to cherish the things we have around us. We didn't stay for long as it was cold and there was a lot to see. I saw the housing where the inmates were kept, some of the buildings where clothes where disinfected, the cremation building and other buildings where inmates were killed. Each was shocking as the last. I left with the same strange feeling as I did in Cambodia. We didn't say much to each other. We just left and drove back home. I don't do well with long car trips as I tend to fall asleep if I'm not the driver so poor Toby had to keep himself company.

Tomorrow is Mens Day, a public holiday in Germany. Supposedly we're going to take a bike somewhere and get drunk and then ride back home. Hmm sounds perfectly safe.

Will let you know how I go. For now take care and be happy =D

Day 1 & 2 - Good connections & bad connections

Hello boys and girls.
I am writing to you from Toby's place in Germany. It is now the second day of my trip and already it's been fun and eventful.
Yesterday I left the home in Melbourne at 12:30am thinking I needed to get to the airport by 1:30pm (2hrs before my flight), only to realise on the way to the airport that my flight left at 3pm, meaning I should be there by 1pm. Typical me! Aaron got me there by 1:40pm so I rushed to the check in counter and luckily the check in was still open. I was the last to check in though. I was told to run to the gate, which I did but really didnt need to as they weren't even boarding yet.
On the plane I was sitting next to a very lovely old German couple named Gisella and Manfred. They were very lovely and very talkative. Even when I was watching my movie (Avatar for those interested), Gisella kept talking to me. I didn't mind though. Got a few hours sleep on the flight before arriving at Kuala Lumpur airport for a 3hr connection. The couple decided they were going to follow me around as I'd know where to go next (they were also flying onwards to Frankfurt). So we spent the next hour looking for a clothing store as Gisella has spilt her coffee all over her top. Old people are funny.
On my next onward flight I was sitting to a nice lady named Stephanie who had just been in Kota Kinabalu for a medical conference. Our plane didnt leave till almost 3hrs after we were supposed to and I was stressing as I had a connecting train to catch in Frankfurt that was supposed to be leaving two and a half hours after I was originally arriving into Germany. Luckily with the delay, we were still arriving at around 8:30am, meaning I had half an hour to get through customs, get my luggage and get to the train station. So I spent the flight chatting to Stephanie and also got about 5hrs sleep. Arriving into Frankfurt we had a spectacular view of flying above the cloud, which is one of my favourite moment during the flight. There's something I find really magical about looking out the window and just seeing clouds all around. It's what most people would picture heaven to look like.
Arriving in Frankfurt, it was a mad rush to get from the airport to the train station and luckily Stephanie was also connecting on a train and had offered to help me get to my station. However that's as far as my luck went cause I ended up missing my connecting train by about 3 minutes. Stehpanie was able to help me change my train ticket which only cost 35 Euro which I was ok with, as I thought I'd have to by a brand new ticket which probably would have cost a lot more. So me and Steph said our goodbyes and I decided to get something to drink and eat as I waiting for the next train. I ended up getting a pretzel and mocha and sat down at a table, hoping to start this blog entry. However some Asian girl came over and asked if she could sit with me, which was quite strange as there were plenty of empty tables all around. However I said it was ok. We attempted a conversation for the next half hour which was quite amusing and awkward at the same time as she didn't really speak English, only Germand and I have a very very basic understanding of German. However I was to work out the she was from Vietnam, has been living in Germany for 3 years and was on the way to the airport for a holiday to Hong Kong and Vietnam (Hanoi to be exact). However I didn't have much of a chance to chat as I had to go to my train platform. Wasn't long before my train arrived and I was one step closer to my final destination. I arrived at my first stop where I had to change trains only to find out that my connecting train was also delayed. I really wasn't having much luck. My connecting train arrived 40 minutes later than it should have. This meant I was going to miss the next connecting train. By now I'd been on public transport for about 32hrs and my Iphone was very low on battery so I couldn't listen to music and for those who know me, I don't do well if I can't listen to music. I arrived at Magdeburg (the place where Toby was picking me up from) around 3:56pm, around an hour later than I was supposed to arrive which was quite good considering the amount of delays.
That night we had Schweinehaxe which Toby's dad made (which is always the best I've had) which made the whole trip worth it. If I could eat Schweinehaxe everyday, I'd be one very happy but fat boy.

Will keep you updated throughout the trip. Take care for now guys!!

G-Slide

Hey boys & girls.

It seems the letter of  the moment is G. Can we say G boys and girls?

There are 4 big things that start with G in my life right now and no, gonorrhea isn't one of them.

Let's start with the first G. G is for Gaga, Lady Gaga that is. I can't get enough of her. Anything she touches is pure genius. I love her music, her style, her videos and the fact that she's so entertaining in every weird quircky way. It's her Kermit the Frog outift. Her acoustic performance of her songs (especially ones where she plays the piano with her feet). Her non existant penis. She is a pure performer and I just cant get enough. Here are a few of my favourite Gaga related things floating around the net at the moment.

The first is Gaga money. Some artist has drawn over the $1USD bill with some of Gaga's most iconic costumes. Totaly awesome. I want them!

Next is a very funny video on what life would be like for Lady Gaga if she weren't a popstar.

Next is still my favourite Gaga performance. It's what makes her crazy and fabulous at the same time. It's the moment I fell in love with her. You need to wait towards the end for the real crazy to kick in. (Sorry about the annoying writing on screen. It was the only full version that I could find)

The next G ia for Glee!! Season 2 is back and going to be better than ever! There's a madonna episode that's just her songs, an episode that Joss Whedon (creator if Buffy) directed that also stars Neil Patrick Harris. Kurt gets a boyfriend and they become the new power couple. Idina Menzel plays a regular role as Vocal Adrenaline's coach. Even a Gaga themed episode is rumoured to be around the corner. It's going to be awesome!!

Lastly G is for Greece/Germany. As in I'll be there next month. Okay not 100% sure about Greece just yet (though G is also for Greek mythology, as in Clash of the Titans, as in Sam Worthington.....yummy!!), but Germany is definately happening. I'm going to visit my favourite German!! This will be second time there, first was same time last year. Can't wait! I might do a Contiki tour and Greece or Italy are the two places I want to see. Greece works out better with dates and the tour visits all the ancient Greek sites like Temple of Zeus, Apollo & Hera. Plus it goes to Mykonos, the gay island of Greece. Can anyone say hot Greek boys? It's going to be a great trip. Can't wait to see my Koli!!

Hyper Dingo -I'll be in glee and going gaga in Germany & Greece! (i know it's lame!)

T-Shirt

So I have discovered a new must see website. If you like tees with
cool funky designs this site is for you. If you're a bit of a gamer/
sci fi geek (but don't necessarily have to be one) this site is also
for you. If you like wearing tees that are unique and that most people
in your area won't have, this is definitely the site for you. The site
is called Tee Fury. How it works? Every 2pm (Melbourne time) they have
a new tee that they only sell for 24hrs before it gets taken off the
site forever. That's right, 1 tee for 1 day, 365 tees a year (unless
it's a leap year of course). I'm sure you can probably find the tee on
another website if you search hard enough but who has time to do all
of that? Another thing that's great is that the tees are quite cheap.
$9USD plus $5USD postage to Oz and with our exchange rate at the
moment, that's not a lot. It's cheaper than buying a tee here. The
designs vary as they come from a lot of different artists (you can
even submit a design yourself). A lot of them tend to have a game
theme but not all of them do so it's still worthwhile to check it out
even if you're not a gamer/sci fi geek. Unfortunately they don't have
a archive of previous tees featured (you can find some old tees on
other websites) so you will just have to start checking now. I've
already bought one tee which I'll try to post a pic of once I receive
it. Anyways check it out guys! Here's one I already bought.

Hyper Dingo - I need a whole wardrobe to store all the tees I have and
am yet to buy!

Cover Girl

So my latest reality TV obession has got to be RuPaul's Drag Race. It's funny, bitchy and FABULOUS! Plus those bitches are gorgeous! Well some of them anyway.

So basically the show is like America's Next Top Model but harder. The skinny bitches in ANTM just have to model and model and try not eat. However the queens on RPDR have to model, make their own clothes and tuck, tuck, tuck that junk. Being a drag queen ain't an easy gig. Some of the challenges the contestants have to do are, pole dance, sing, choreopgraph dance routines, make costumes, turn a bunch of female fighters (boxers, wrestlers etc) into glamourous models, make a commercial etc.

At the end of the show, Ru Paul and a panel a judges (some guest judges have included Kathy Griffin, Michelle Williams (from Destiny's Child), Kathy Nijimy) decides who was the winner of that weeks challenge, who's safe and who's in the bottom two. Then the bottom two must lip sync for their lives and Ru Paul then tells one "shante, you stay" and the other to "sashay away!". Haha I love it!

Here's some photos of some of the contestants from Season 1 & Season 2.

Video Killed The Radio Star

Hi peeps.

Time for a new segment. "Watching You" will feature some YouTube clips that I've come across (and expect a lot of clips cause I waste a sh*t load of time on YouTube).

This first clip comes from the very clever creative team at RhettandLink. Very cute and clever clip.

The next two clips are music collaborations from vaious artists in support of Haiti. The fist is a remake of the 1985 charity single "We Are The World", written by Michael Jackson & Lionel Richie. The new lineup of artists include Pink, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Hudson, Fergie, Will.i.am, Usher, Miley Cyrus and many many more.

The next is the UK's charity single "Everybody Hurts" (originally performed by REM). The line up of artists in this single include Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Susan Boyle, Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis, Mika, Michael Buble, Miley Cyrus again(bitch gets around), Westlife, Jon Bon Jovi, Take That and others.

A New Day Has Come

Kung Hei Fat Choy! Xin Nian Kuai Le!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!! And Happy Valentines Day!!

Today marks the second New Years Day for me this year and I guess with any new year comes the reassesment of the year past and the year ahead. Wow there was a lot of "years" used in that last sentence.

I sense this will be a year of change for me. It's now the year of the Golden Tiger which is a symbol of courage and this year I need to face the world with courage in my heart. There are a lot of changes that 2010 will bring. Some big. Some small. Who knows which will be good or bad but I do know that I need to accept them with open arms. So bring it on!

I wish you all a very very happy year and hope any changes that happen for you are the right ones and make you happy.

Hyper Dingo - At least I knew it was Chinese New Year this year round. See I'm not always a hopeless Asian.

Hello?

Is there anybody home?

So it's been over a year since I last posted something here; the last post being about starting posts again. Well I guess that never really took off. Ironically the reason I was distracted from posting is now the reason I'm distracting myself by posting. So hopefully this time I'll actually start posting again. I have missed you all (you know...all 2 of you) and hope you've missed me too.

This time round, you may notice some differences. I hope to introduce...
- new regular posts
- I've got a new design for the blog (ooh pretty!)
- All the titles are going to be song lyrics (why not)
- and more things when I think of them...

So lets reconnect and have a jolly good time (Facebook keeps telling me to reconnect with you all so I am).

Hyper Dingo - Reconnecting NOW....yes....yes!....YES!! YES!!!!! *Light cigarette* Was it as good for you as it was for me?

Watch This Space

Hyper Dingo will be back. Harder, bigger and more erect than ever.

Hyper Dingo - I finally responded to one of those spam emails.

Vacation Time!!

Hi beautiful people,

I'm about to head off on holidays (in about 6 hours), so I wanted to wish you all the best for the next 3 weeks. Try to cope without me here and if you really miss me, then just grab a big sausage and smack yourself in the face with it repeatedly and I'm sure you'll feel better again.

Hyper Dingo - I'm going to look African once I get back. =D

Wanted: A Gay

Hi guys,

It seems at this moment my family & extended family are after the services of a gay man and I seem to be the man of the hour. You see, over the last weeks I've noticed that certain family members have been seeking me out for my abilities. Abilities they seem to think I must possess, simply because I am a gay. Some of these abilties are:

OLDER BROTHER - Seems so come to me for girlfriend/relationship advice. You know, because naturally I know more about the inner workings of his girlfriends mind than he does. You know cause I'm gay, I'm more woman than he is and therefore should be able to know what his girlfriend of thinking.

YOUNGER BROTHER - Seems to come to be for fashion advice. Does this t-shirt look good? Do I look fat in this? Do my boobies show in this top? The questions are endless.

MOTHER DEAREST - Mum seems to come to be for decorating opinions. If she changes anything or buys new furniture/decorations, she always wants me to approve and seeks my opinion on it. Obviously she's been watching too much Queer Eye cause she seems to think I'm Thom but without the annoyingness. Oh and she also gets me to dye her hair as well. You know, cause the gays like to hairdress.

AUNTY FROM FRANCE - Wants me to move to France and work/help run her hotel. Once again, cause naturally I have hospitality skills. I've never done it before but I'm sure my natural instinct will kick in and I'll be able to manage a whole heaps of staff and run her business for her. I don't think so

And lastly but most funnily...

UNCLE (from my mothers side) - He has a niece in Cambodia who wants to move to Australia to live and he thinks "we'll seeing as Danny isn't going to marry a girl, why not marry her and she can move here?" What!?? I'm not some piece of meat that can be married off for a green card. Plus I don't think she's even over 18 yet? That'd be so wrong on so many occasions. Oh and I should mention that she's his niece through marriage. Not like a blood relative, cause that'd be just even weirder....not that it isn't already.

Hyper Dingo - Does anyone need a back up dancer? Or a florist? Or a personal trainer? Cause I must possess all those skills as well.

You Know You're In Trouble When...

...someone stops you in the toilets in Singapore and asks you "are you a hooker?"

Hyper Dingo - I think it's time for a new wardrobe. =(
